Palmtop (PDA)

Since 2002 I’ve been happily “addicted” to the electronic gadget known as the palmtop (PDA).

  • I started with the Palm m505 — small, sturdy, and I loved it.
  • But time moves on and hardware ages, so in February 2005 I switched sides and bought a Dell x50.
  • On 2005‑10‑13 I moved to the Fujitsu‑Siemens Loox 720. Hmmm… quite an interesting device.
  • Then the wheel turned again and I went back to the m505. After my Windows adventure I was happy to return to Palm OS. The downside: the screen is mediocre and there’s no Bluetooth or Wi‑Fi — so I started looking for something new.
  • I debated for a long time: maybe a palm‑phone? After lots of deliberation, around Christmas 2006 I bought a Fujitsu‑Siemens N560. Happy? You can read about my struggles here.
